The Union Jack Model
There has been much interest recently in frustrated quantum spinmodels in two dimensions. We will briefly review the state of play in thisfield, and the application of the Lieb-Schultz-Mattis theorem in higherdimensions, and then discuss a new member of this class, the Union Jackmodel. The Union Jack model exhibits ferrimagnetism at large frustrations.
